Nina Neil, LMSW

After completing her second internship with JJAB, Nina Neil joined our team as a full-time Resource Specialist and Restorative Justice Program Development Specialist at the beginning of August. Prior, she worked at Los Alamos Public Schools for five years as a Digital Learning Instructional Assistant at the middle school and as a substitute teacher. Nina has a Master of Social Work degree from Western New Mexico University and works primarily with elementary-aged and younger children and their families. As a social worker, Nina enjoys engaging and empowering youth and families throughout the process, from basic needs assessments and goal setting to decision-making. Her main focus is building meaningful relationships that support positive changes. Nina will also be researching and implementing best practices for the Restorative Justice program. Volunteering with Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity is a passion for Nina, having been active with the organization since 2014. She also enjoys traveling the world, seeing extended family in Texas, being outdoors, and playing soccer.
