One Circle Groups

BUILDING A CULTURE OF SUPPORT

One Circle groups provide a supportive environment for youth to openly discuss issues that are important to them. An adult facilitator helps guide the group, but the youth participants are empowered to share their knowledge and experiences with each other. This is a safe place for expression, building trusting relationships with peers, and to learn practical advice to navigate the world. Group topics are based on the specific needs of the youth in each group and may include self-esteem, peer-relationships, family life, navigating social media, decision-making, and more.

The peer-guided group is facilitated by a trained adult following an evidence-based curriculum and is available to 5th – 12th graders who live in or attend school in Los Alamos County.
