Summer has flown by, and autumn will be here before we know it! Along with the shorter days and falling leaves comes cool weather. As in years past, JJAB is holding our annual Winter Clothing Drive to help youth in our community stay warm as the weather turns cold.
JJAB is asking our community to make a financial donations that will be used to purchase winter clothing for students in all LAPS schools. JJAB Resource Specialists will be working with our client families, school counselors, and community organizations to gather student needs. As finances allow, JJAB will purchase the desired items and deliver them directly to the youth and families. Items that are frequently needed by students and purchased through our Winter Clothing Drive include coats, snow boots, gloves, scarves and hats.
Through generous donations, JJAB has been able to provide 272 youth with warm and stylish winter clothing since this program started in 2020. JJAB’s vision is that the children of Los Alamos are resilient, meaningfully connected and have the capacity to thrive. Providing the warm winter essentials youth need allow them to thrive in their schools, homes and in their community.
